Wednesday Prayer Meeting

Betende Hände
"Praying Hands" by Albrecht Durer c. 1508

Did you grow up with Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting?  I did, and that tradition continues in many churches in our area.  When I was small, many businesses would close at noon on Wednesday to allow folks time to get home  and get ready to be at church that evening.

That tradition may or may not be a part of your life, but here are some matters on my heart today.  To join in the Cyber-Prayer meeting, please pray over these things and feel free to add other requests in the comments section.  Also, please feel free to leave a comment that you have prayed over these matters.

Nancy My sister in law is battling cancer which has spread to her lungs.  Please pray for endurance and please pray for joy.

Braden  Because of other chronic illnesses, the doctors decided that he is not a candidate for a lung transplant.  Please pray for this young man and his family

Doug is planting a church in Utah.  As you can imagine, this is a Spiritual battleground.  Please pray for Spiritual protection for him and his family, and for those there who have come to know Jesus.

Paul and Elizabeth are missionaries who live in France.  After many years of faithful service to the church there, they are now working to shepherd and pastor missionaries all over Europe.

Please pray today for your own church, particularly for those who are the Nursery Workers, working to love and care for the babies and the toddlers in the church.  Pray for their strength and endurance and for The Father's love to pour through them into these precious children and their parents.

Thank you for your faithful service.  The work of prayer is a quiet work that is not seen by most, but the effects are enormous and the work is crucial.

How may we pray for you today?
